Type: Reconstruction of sand track and sections of the course proper

Description (Sand Track): Civil works for the upgrade of the 1600m long sand track included removal of existing sand, bulk earthworks to improve existing subgrade and drainage, supply and install new timber edge boards, subsoil drainage, supply and place new sand layer to Racing NSW requirements.

Description (Course Proper): Civil works for this design and construct contract included regrading over 1100m of the course proper as well as construction of a 350m long new starting chute. Works included course design, structural design, pump & irrigation system design, DA preparation, Council and Racing NSW approvals, 45,000 cu.m of earthworks, levee bank relocation, stormwater drainage, irrigation works, import and place 3,000 tonne of growing medium, supply and lay 34,000 sq.m of turf, supply and install new running rails.
